Premarin is used in menopausal hormone therapy and for various other conditions.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch5 data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eHow should I take this medication? \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h5\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003ci\u003eUsual (Intravaginal):\u003c\/i\u003e Insert 0.5g to 2g intravaginally as directed.  Administer cyclically (21 days on, 7 days off) for atrophic vaginitis; administer twice weekly or once daily cyclically (21 days on, 7 days off) for moderate to severe dyspareunia.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHow to Use: \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e Using an applicator, insert cream deeply into vagina. Insertion should be as far as possible into the vagina without causing discomfort. Applicator calibrated in 0.5 g increments up to 2 g. To clean applicator, remove plunger from barrel. Wash with mild soap and warm water; do not boil or use hot water. Allow to dry thoroughly before putting back together.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch5 data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eWhat should I watch for while using this medication? \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h5\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBefore starting Conjugated Estrogen, Premarin make sure your physician is aware of any allergies or medications you currently take, and activities you perform.  Conjugated Estrogen, Premarin when used with progestin can increase the risk of invasive breast cancer in post menopausal women.  Unopposed Premarin usage in women with an intact uterus can increase the risk of endometrial cancer.  Conjugated Estrogen, Premarin can exacerbate endometriosis and may cause retinal vascular thrombosis.   Conjugated Estrogen, Premarin should be used with caution in patients with familial defects in lipoprotein metabolism, asthma, diabetes, cardiac and renal dysfunction, epilepsy, cholestatic jaundice, hypoparathyroidism, migraine, porphyria, systemic lupus erythematosus, and hepatic hemangiomas.  Conjugated Estrogen, Premarin is contraindicated in women with active DVT, PE, arterial thromboembolic disease (stroke and MI), or a history of these conditions.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch5 data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eWhat if I miss a dose?\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h5\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\" data-mce-style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eIf you miss a dose of medication, try to take it as soon as possible.
